Time words take no particle
Time words stand alone
今日 (today), 明日 (tomorrow), 昨日 (yesterday), 毎日 (every day), 来週 (next week): these take no particle. Put them near the front, usually right after the subject.
Yesterday wants a past ending (ました), tomorrow a non-past one (ます). The checker will tell you if they disagree.
明日東京に行きます。
(I) go to Tokyo tomorrow.
毎日コーヒーを飲みます。
(I) drink coffee every day.
昨日映画を見ました。
(I) saw a movie yesterday.
来週日本に来ます。
(I) come to Japan next week.
Clock times take に
A specific point on the clock is a destination in time, so it takes に: 5時に帰ります (I go home at 5).
5時に帰ります。
(I) go home at 5 o'clock.
5時に会社で仕事します。
(I) work at the office at 5 o'clock.
